The New Perspectives program was firmly rooted in the principles of documentary photography. Over the course of several months, eight women photographers from Kenya, Ghana, Zambia, Spain, Hong Kong, Trinidad and Tobago, and Guyana explored topics such as ethical photography, advanced composition, storytelling techniques, and the intricacies of pitching and securing funding. A comprehensive training facilitated by Margherita Dameti, Thays Prado, Carola Cappellari, and Lydia Wanjiku, Lensational’s CEO.

A two-month course that concluded with a final exhibition, engaging 12 Syrian children aged 9 to 13, where photography became a tool for empowerment and self-discovery. Through visual education, storytelling, and content creation, the children explored new ways of perceiving and capturing the world around them. Together, they transformed their imaginations into compositions that reflected each other's visions, perspectives, and creativity, fostering collaboration, mutual support, and the exchange of ideas.
